Dr. Wanita Dixon 
A.K.A Dr. Dubs

 

 

Dr. Wanita Dixon is a Florida-based mechanical engineer, watercolorist, and business developer hailing from North Carolina. As the founder of Technical Creative Consulting (TCC), she specializes in assisting Fortune 500 corporate leaders in alleviating employee stress through team-building activities centered around the visual arts. With a background as a former global product innovation executive in the aerospace, HVAC, and refrigeration industries, Wanita's passion lies in utilizing S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) to foster creativity.

 

Wanita's artistic creations primarily manifest in watercolors, colored pencils, and ink. Her artwork reflects both structural and illustrative elements, paying homage to her previous careers in mechanical engineering design at Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne and runway modeling with Elite Atlanta.

A self-proclaimed engineer with an artist's soul, Wanita holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a PhD in Organization Management from Capella University. Resilient and visionary, she possesses a deep commitment to continuous learning and the transformation of environments for the better. After achieving significant milestones in product launches, cost savings, and global innovation workshops, Dr. Dixon has returned to her initial passion – art – by merging various disciplines to deliver expertise in "the business of art.
